SASP offers a confers a number of awards and offers a range of funding opportunities to members. More details about each award are available in the menu on the left.

Awards

  • SASP Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award

The Outstanding Research Award highlights outstanding student research conducted by graduate student members of SASP. Three awards will be given out: First Place award ($500) and two Runner-Up awards ($250 each). Our Judging panel will select up to 8 student finalists to present their research in a special stream at the SASP conference in Adelaide.

  • SASP Early Career Award

The SASP Early Career award will be awarded to a young scholar who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of social psychology in Australasia.

 

Funding

  • Small Grant Scheme to support postgraduate collaboration

The purpose of these small grants is to support collaborative research between SASP postgraduate members from different universities. 

  • SASP-SPSP International Teaching Fellowship

The program supports one-week expert-led graduate schools in Australasia and North America. The aims of this program are: (1) to foster international cooperation between members of these two organizations, (2) to provide an opportunity for groups of graduate students to receive intensive specialist education from an academic expert from overseas, and (3) to provide an opportunity to build links between groups of researchers and research institutions within a geographical region.
