Awards

The SASP Outstanding Career award recognises an exceptional scholar who has made a significant contribution to social psychology in Australasia. Recipients embody the highest standards of scientific inquiry, mentorship, and leadership in social psychology in Australasia.

The SASP Early Career award is awarded to an emerging scholar who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of social psychology in Australasia.

The Outstanding Research Award highlights outstanding student research conducted by postgraduate student members of SASP. Up to 6 student finalists are selected to present their research in a special stream at the annual SASP conference. Up to three awards are given. 

The Margaret Foddy Postgraduate Travel Awards provide financial assistance to postgraduates who wish to attend SASP conferences. SASP is pleased to offer multiple awards to postgraduate students to assist with their travel costs to the annual SASP conferences.

The SASP Honours Travel Awards provide financial assistance to honours students who wish to attend the annual SASP conference. Since 2022 SASP is pleased to offer multiple awards assisting honours students with travel costs to the annual SASP conferences.

Funding

The SASP Small Grant Scheme financially supports collaborative research between SASP postgraduate members from different universities.

SASP financially supports selected postgraduate students to attend a variety of Summer Schools by assisting with associated fees, registration, and expenses.
