Advancing Workplace Gender Equality Through Effective Allyship: 1 x Post-Doctoral Researcher Fellow, 1 x PhD scholarship

This is an opportunity to join our research team investigating how workplace gender equality can be effectively advanced through allyship as part of an ARC-funded Discovery Project with Dr Helena Radke (James Cook University), Dr Maja Kutlaca (Durham University), Dr Emina Subasic (University of Newcastle), and Prof Michelle Ryan (Global Institute for Women’s Leadership; Australian National University).

Despite decades of research and intervention, gender inequality in Australian workplaces remains a widespread and costly problem. This project proposes that encouraging men and organisations to act as allies for gender equality is a crucial yet overlooked piece of the puzzle required to solve this issue. We are therefore seeking to undertake a comprehensive investigation of when, why and how men and organisations can effectively advance workplace gender equality.

We are looking to recruit 1 x Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and 1 x PhD candidate for a PhD scholarship to join our team.  Click the relevant below buttons for more information about the named position including selection criteria and how to apply.

Both positions are remote within Australia with the possibility to be based at or spend time at one of the more collaborating universities. Applicants need to have the right to work (for the post-doctoral research fellow) or be considered a domestic applicant (for the PhD candidate).
