Registration for the conference dinner is via the conference registration link. You can include the dinner in your conference registration or register for it separately.

Note that the costs for non members are higher by the amount of a 1-year membership to SASP. You can become a member here and then make your purchase as a SASP member.

Conference dinner registration

The conference dinner will be held at Louie Louie @ Verity Lane Market on Tuesday 26th November evening. Tickets include arrival canapés, main meal, dessert, and 3hours of drinks. The “Full Package” includes house wines, beer, cider, ginger beer, and bubbles. The “Soft drink” package includes non-alco beer, mocktail, and a range of soda options.

Registration for the conference dinner is via the relevant conference registration link above. You do not need to register for the conference to register for the dinner.

Postgrad dinner

The Postgrad Dinner will be held Monday evening, 25th November at Badger & Co.. Please indicate attendance with your conference registration.

Awards

Applications are now closed.

There are four different awards on offer at SASP 2024. To be eligible, applicants must be members of SASP. Details about SASP membership can be found at https://sasp.org.au/membership-join/.

Early Career Award

The SASP Early Career Award is awarded to an emerging scholar who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of social psychology in Australasia.  The recipient of the award will be invited to present their work at the SASP 2024 Conference in Canberra.

Applications are due by Friday 13th September 2024 to the SASP Secretary, Liz Summerell [].

Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award

The Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award (OPRA) highlights outstanding student research conducted by postgraduate student members of SASP. This year, three awards will be given out: a First Place award ($500), a Runner-up award ($250), and, for the first time, a People’s Choice award ($250). The OPRA selection panel will select up to six student finalists to present their research at the SASP 2024 conference.

We are accepting applications for the 2024 Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award until COB Friday 13th September.

Applications can only be submitted electronically as an email attachment (Word or PDF format) to Danny Osborne (). Please use “SASP 2024 OPRA” as the subject of the email. Unfortunately, late submissions cannot be considered.

Postgraduate Travel Award

To assist postgraduate students with their travel costs to the SASP 2024 conference in Canberra, SASP is pleased to offer 10 x $500 awards Margaret Foddy Postgraduate Travel Awards.

All application information is due to Liz Summerell [] no later than Friday 13th September 2024.

Honours Travel Award

SASP is pleased to offer 2 x $500 awards to Honours students to assist with their travel costs to the SASP 2024 conference in Canberra. These awards are intended to provide financial assistance to students in their Honours year who wish to attend SASP conferences to present their Honours research.
