Dear SASP colleagues,
We are currently exploring the possibility of putting together one or more symposium submissions for the upcoming SASP conference, themed around gender and/or sexuality.
We know that many people in the SASP community are doing exciting work in this space, including research on identity, prejudice, relationships, health, wellbeing, minority stress, community, and related areas. To help us identify potential symposium themes and contributors:
We are inviting expressions of interest from anyone who may be interested in being part of a symposium submission.
Our plan is to play “matchmaker” by helping connect interested researchers whose work may fit together thematically, with the aim of supporting one or more strong symposium submissions.
At this stage, we are not asking for a full abstract. We are simply seeking a brief indication of your research area, possible topic, and whether you would be interested in presenting and/or chairing a symposium.
Full symposium abstracts are due on 13 July, so we are asking interested people to complete the short form by Friday, 19 June. This will give us time to identify possible thematic groupings and follow up with potential presenters before the submission deadline.
Completing the form does not commit you to participating, and we may not be able to include everyone, depending on the number of responses and the fit between topics. However, we hope this process will help coordinate submissions and build stronger connections between researchers working in gender and sexuality within the SASP community.

Please feel free to circulate this to others who may be interested.
Warmly,
