Call for Unpublished Work: Systematic Review of Longitudinal Observational and Experimental Studies on Modifying Efficacy Beliefs to Promote Pro-Environmental Behavior

Dear colleagues,

We are currently conducting a systematic review of longitudinal observational studies and intervention studies that focus on modifying efficacy beliefs to promote pro-environmental behavior. As part of this process, we are seeking unpublished manuscripts, preprints, papers in press, theses, or any other form of gray literature. If you have relevant unpublished manuscripts, data, or materials, we would be grateful for your contribution!

Inclusion criteria:

  • Study design
    • Longitudinal observational studies and experimental/intervention studies
  • Outcome measures
    • Efficacy or control beliefs (e.g., self-efficacy, personal efficacy, (collective) environmental efficacy, response efficacy, outcome efficacy, behavior-specific efficacy, consumer effectiveness, perceived control, locus of control)
    • General and specific pro-environmental behaviors (i.e., measures of self-reported intention, self-reported behavior, and/or observed behavior)

For the experimental/intervention studies with control groups, we plan to perform a meta-analysis and therefore request the following descriptive statistics:

  • Sample size of the control group(s)
  • Sample size of the intervention group(s)
  • Means and standard deviations of efficacy beliefs post-treatment and (if available) pre-treatment
  • Means and standard deviations of pro-environmental behavior post-treatment and (if
    available) pre-treatment

you have any work/data on this topic, we would greatly appreciate if you could send us your manuscript, paper, report, and/or descriptive statistics by November 1, 2024, via e-mail:
.

Included studies/data will of course be cited in our paper. In case you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Many thanks in advance for your help! We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Christina Juchem, Susanne Bücker, Leonie Bandurski, Saskia Baumgardt, and Eva Asselmann
