Outstanding Career Award
The SASP Outstanding Career award recognises an exceptional scholar who has made a significant contribution to social psychology in Australasia. Candidates are SASP members selected by a committee of the past president, current president, and president-elect of SASP. The recipient of the the Outstanding Career Award is invited to provide an address at the annual SASP conference.
Early Career Award
The SASP Early Career Award is awarded to an emerging scholar who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of social psychology in Australasia. The recipient of the award is invited to present their work at the SASP-ACPID 2025 Conference in Melbourne.
Congratulations Dr. Kelly Kirkland, 2025 SASP Early Career Award recipient.
Kelly’s research aims to advance understanding of how social and moral processes shape collective behaviour.

Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award (OPRA)
The Outstanding Postgraduate Research Award (OPRA) highlights outstanding student research conducted by postgraduate student members of SASP. On the merits of the entire application, finalists are chosen to present their research at the SASP-ACPID 2025 conference in Melbourne in a special OPRA symposium. This year, three awards will be given out: one First Place award ($500), one Runner-up award ($250), and a People’s Choice award ($250).

SASP is pleased to offer 2 x $500 awards to Honours students to assist with their travel costs to the SASP-ACPID 2025 conference in Melbourne.
