CyberPsychology and CyberSecurity: Shaping Health and Society

28th Annual CyberPsychology, CyberTherapy and Social Networking Conference 

CyPsy28, the 28th Annual CyberPsychology, CyberTherapy, and Social Networking Conference, will take place from 15–17 July 2025 at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney, NSW, Australia.

The conference aims to share knowledge, foster collaboration, and grow multidisciplinary innovation to develop leading evidence-based solutions improving digital security, health, and society.

Hosted by IDCARE, Australia and New Zealand’s national identity and cyber support service, and in partnership with the Interactive Media Institute, Virtual Reality Media Centre, and the Cyberpsychology Research Group at The University of Sydney, CyPsy28 provides an international networking and knowledge dissemination opportunity for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, Government officials and NGOs to meet and discuss advancements in the fields of Cyberpsychology and Cybersecurity. 

Abstract submission

The Conference Organising Committee is now seeking abstract submissions (400-word limit) that address the 2025 Conference theme ‘CyberPsychology and CyberSecurity: Shaping Health and Society’.

The 2025 Abstract Submission Portal will close at midnight on Thursday, 13 February 2025, so now is the time to start thinking about what contribution you would like to make to your industry conference.

*Note: At this time, we are only seeking the submission of abstracts with a maximum 400-word limit. Final presentation files (PPT) will be due the week prior to the Conference.

Conference Streams

The Conference Organising Committee is seeking submissions related to four conference streams:

  • Cybersecurity Human Factors
  • Scams and Cybercrime Behaviour and Disrupters
  • Applied Cyberpsychology in Health and Society
  • Advancing Technologies and Global Impacts

Presentation Types

The Conference Organising Committee aims to create a Conference program with the following presentation types:

  • Oral Presentation & Refereed Paper (15 minute presentation with additional 5 minutes Q&A)
  • Oral Presentation (15 minute presentation with additional 5 minutes Q&A)
  • Poster Presentation
  • Workshop (varied time frames)
