The Society of Australasian Social Psychologists (SASP) is excited to announce the finalists of the 2024 Outstanding Postgraduate Research Awards (OPRA). These awards highlight outstanding student research conducted by postgraduate student members of SASP.
In 2024 five finalists have been selected to present their research at SASP 2024 in Canberra on Monday 25th November. The three winners – First Place ($500), Runner-up ($250), and People’s Choice ($250) – will be announced during the welcome event Monday evening.

- Christienne Javier (The University of Queensland): “To be whole: Medical and social determinants of transgender and gender diverse adults’ psychological wellbeing”.
- Georgina Lee (Australian National University): “A social identity analysis of working alliance”.
- Kieren Lilly (The University of Auckland): “The “Haves” and the “Have-nots”: Antecedents, consequences, and the development of perceived relative deprivation over time”.
- Lisette Yip (Flinders University): “Feeling good, looking good or doing good? Exploring how the quality of motivation predicts the quantity, longevity, and persistence of collective action”.
