We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for a three-year Level A postdoctoral position associated with an Indigenous Discovery grant, led by Dr Olivia Evans, a Senior Indigenous Research Fellow at the ANU. This is an Identified Position and is open only to applicants of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, under Section 8(1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975.
The project investigates attitudes towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and identifies pathways to non-Indigenous allyship. The research aims to improve understanding of how prejudice can be reduced and how support for Indigenous rights and initiatives can be strengthened. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of the research, contribute to scholarly publications and presentations, and support broader engagement activities associated with the project. There may also be opportunities to contribute to teaching, student supervision, and service within the School, depending on the candidate’s interests and experience.
