We are happy to announce the availability a PhD Scholarship as part of an Australian Research Council (ARC) project ‘RESPECT Against Racism: Advancing new anti-racist educational e-modules’ (LP240100299) between ARC, The University of Sydney, Western Sydney University, University of Technology Sydney and The Cool Australia Trust.
This project aims to develop and evaluate a new set of RESPECT e-modules, underpinned by leading anti-racism approaches integrated into a single guiding framework. The RESPECT e-modules will generate knowledge about the best-practice content needed to successfully expand primary school students’ inclusive thinking and racism reduction in both the short- and long-term.
The successful PhD student, who will be located at the University of Sydney, will contribute to the research design and preparation of experimental materials, recruitment, organising and administering of experiments, data entry, and advanced data analysis for this project. Alongside this interdisciplinary team led by Professor Fiona White, this student will gain a postgraduate qualification, but also significant training and development opportunities.
The scholarship will provide a $41,753 per annum stipend allowance for a domestic research student to undertake research in social psychology. This Scholarship is equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate (indexed on 1 January each year) for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
