Abstract submissions for the Australian Conference for Personality and Individual Differences (ACPID) 2017 will close on Wednesday 1st November. The conference will be held on 1-2 December and the University of Sydney, with pre-conference workshops on 30 November.
Please submit your abstract now to avoid disappointment (www.acpid.org). You will also need to register for the conference by Wednesday 1st November at this link or from the acpid.org website.
The theme of the conference this year is “Looking to the Future of Personality: The next generation” with a focus on supporting early career researchers. The conference will include:
- keynote speakers on Open Science and the Replication Crisis (Associate Prof Alex Holcombe) and Models of Multi-Rater Measures of Personality: Unique Insights into the Nature of Personality (Associate Professor Brian Connelly),
- an Advice for Early Career Researchers question and answer panel (convenors Dr Luke Smilie, Dr Natalie Loxton, Dr Carolyn MacCann, Prof Chris Jackson, and Dr Beatrice Alba), and
- two pre-conference workshops: Working with R: An Introduction to R Studio (Dr Damian Birney) and An introduction to qualitative analysis (Dr Haryana Dhillon and Associate Professor Ilona Juraskova)
There will also be prizes for the best student presentation, best PhD thesis in the area of personality and individual differences, and an early career researcher prize.
