Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Social Psychology at the University of Melbourne

The Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences is seeking to appoint an outstanding social psychologist who can contribute to its research and teaching programs. The successful applicant will join an active and collaborative group that includes Charles Abraham, Brock Bastian, Katie Greenaway, Nick Haslam, Yoshi Kashima, Peter Koval, Simon Laham and Luke Smillie. Area of specialisation is open, but research and teaching interests relevant to applied social psychology and behaviour change, or to the psychology of morality, emotion or well-being, are particularly desirable.

Applications will be considered for appointment at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer commensurate with skills and experience. Candidates for appointment at Lecturer level will have an emerging track record of publication in leading journals and evidence of potential for obtaining competitive funding. Candidates for appointment at Senior Lecturer level will have an established track record of publication in leading international journals and competitive external grant success.

The successful applicant will participate actively in all aspects of the School’s activities, including research, research supervision, teaching, administration and engagement. Salary: Lecturer (Level B), $98,755-$117,290 plus 17% employer superannuation contribution; Senior Lecturer (Level C), $120,993-$139,510 plus 17% employer superannuation contribution.
